5 Young Adult Books to Read for July

Happy July! To have fun this month and make it more interesting, we are recommending five young adult books to read this month. From Romance to action to tragedy, these books know how to keep readers entertained. This is a  story that will draw teens in and keep them turning pages until they reach an unpredictable and thrilling ending. The novel is about a boy who must take up the search for his sister when she goes missing from a neighborhood where Black girls’ disappearances are too often overlooked.

 
 

OPPOSITE OF ALWAYS by Justin A. Reynolds

This novel is about a young man who lost his lover but then has a chance to go back in time and prevent her death. What will he do, save her even though there will be repercussions or just let it be?

 
 

YESTERDAY IS HISTORY by Kosoko Jackson

An epic, heartfelt romance about a boy torn between two loves, one in his present and one in the past. A story of Black queer history, love, loss, and learning to stay in the moment before it passes you by.

 
 

LOVE RADIO by Ebony LaDelle

This is a romantic teen novel about a self-professed teen love doctor with a popular radio segment who believes he can get a girl who hates all things romance to fall in love with him in only three dates. When the romantic DJ meets the ambitious writer, sparks fly. Prince is smitten, but Dani’s not looking to get derailed. She gives Prince just three dates to convince her that he’s worth falling for.
