Mimi and the Cutie Catastrophe is a very great book that follows Mimi and her stuffed animal Penelope they love being cute and having fun, but one day Mimi feels off about the term “cute” She sees that people only call her cute like she can’t be cute and smart or cute and strong or cute and cool. Mimi starts changing herself, but by the end, Mimi realizes that she doesn’t have to be anything but herself.

 

Grace Needs Space by Benjamin A. Wilgus and Rii Abrego

Grace Needs Space is a graphic novel about Grace wanting to go on a space trip with her fun mom Kendra and get away from her boring mom Evelyn. She can’t wait to have fun the Kendra, but on her trip, she starts feeling a little lonely because Kendra is focused on work. Grace realizes that her trip cant be so adventurous all the time.

 

Invisible Christina Diaz Gonzalez and Gabriela Epstein

Invisible is a graphic novel that follows the five characters George, Sara, Dayara, and Miguel, they all get placed in doing community service for their school. But on a normal day, Dayara and Miguel discover a little girl living in van with her mom. The kids want to help them but they have to be prepared to disclose their own secrets.

Katie The Catsitter is a graphic novel that is about teenage Katie not liking her summer. She got a job as a cat sitter, she was very shocked to see the owner, Madeline has two hundred and seventeen unusual cats. Katie starts finding suspicion when Olny leaves when the city’s most dangerous villain goes loose she starts questioning if Madeline is the supervillain. it depends on Katie and all of her cat friends to unlock the biggest secret in her city.

 

Janeice is a high school intern from the Boogie Down Bronx. She loves to read young adult fantasies. Some of her favorite are the Legendborn series by Tracy Deonn, The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo, and White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson. She hopes to one day pursue acting.
